Wolverines land commit from nation’s top safety

Checking out Michigan in March, Tulsa (Okla.) Booker T. Washington safety Daxton Hill made a return trip to Ann Arbor over the weekend while on an official visit. That look at the Maize and Blue was all it took for him to make up his mind, announcing on Tuesday evening that he had made his decision.

Standing in at 6-1, 190 pounds, Hill is rated as the No. 1 safety in the nation by Rivals and 247 Sports, carrying a five-star rating on both networks. ESPN lists him as the No. 1 safety and the No. 14 overall prospect, but only lists 11 players nationally as having five stars.

Hill is the 23rd player to commit to the Wolverines’ 2019 recruiting class.
